CBS welcomes Dugast tires

It’s not too early to start thinking about the cyclocross season!   As of today, we are Seattle’s exclusive Dugast tubular retailer.   For those of you unfamiliar with the name, Andre Dugast started the small, hand-made tire company in 1972.    The Dugast tubular tire is known for an incredibly supple casing, a variety of tread pattern options, and surprisingly, a competitive price.

Today, Richard Nieuwhuis runs this haute couture tire company in Denekamp, NED and supplies both amateurs and professionals with some of the finest tubular tires in the world.

Contrary to popular belief, Dugast tires are actually affordable.   We stock three Dugast tubular tires, all in 32mm width.   We have a great supply of tires that will quickly disappear as the season draws near.

  • Typhoon: The classic standard for cyclocross racing.    You’ll find American and European Professionals racing this tire all day long.   Estimated weight for 32mm=380 grams

  • Rhino: This is an aggressive mud tire, best suited when the rain sets in.   US Cyclocross National Champion Tim Johnson rode these tires to victory in Bend, OR last year, and some say this tire choice (over Typhoons) gave him an edge.   Estimated weight for 32mm=395 grams

  • Pipistrello:  This tire excels on courses that are dry and fast.   This tire also does really well on icy surfaces.  Estimated weight for 32mm=352 grams
